The Haven - Jamaica Plain

So so good!!! Everyone was very friendly and fish chips were delicious!! The Shepard’s pie was not the best and had undercooked raw carrots!

We went to try the well-reviewed burger, which was truly fabulous if a little heavy at oz. — a burger at the same price would be just as satisfying and would have left room for an extra whisky at the end (which we wanted but were too full to muster). The seafood plate was good but not great — the reason I'm rating the food a instead of a The thick-cut beet-cured smoked salmon was lackluster — a disappointing miss for a Scottish spot The whisky selection is very good. We each had a lovely Bruichladdich Our server was fantastic — friendly, attentive and super-polite The ambience is spot-on. I lived in Scotland for four years — and this is a very faithful interpretation of a Scottish pub. The side-street situation gives the place a pleasant neighborhood vibe. And, there's even a lovely ivy-clad brick wall across the street that one can see through the big picture windows There's more on the food and whisky menus that we want to try — so, we definitely will be making a return trip. But, if we opt for the burger again, we'll probably split it Recommended.

Best burger in Boston! Hands down! Best place to go for a cozy drink and hearty meal.
