I was not able to take a tour, but I did visit the taproom and enjoyed some drinks. I was impressed by the beer, particularly the fall O-Yam variety. The taproom offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with outside areas featuring fireplaces. Surprisingly, I learned that this brewery was not 100 years old, but actually started in the 1980s. After locating the restaurant (hidden within a residential area), we decided to take the $10 tour. The experience was quite informative and included tasting 3 different beers. Our tour guide Shane really made the experience memorable by keeping us entertained with his humor. The brewery was small, and the tour lasted about an hour.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The manager who was working that day was great. He took the time to give me a tour of the back room, even though it was a slow Tuesday and there were no official tours happening. I tried a flight of delicious beers with a pretzel and enjoyed the spacious patio. This restaurant is a must-visit if you're in the Boston area!
Had an incredibly enjoyable tour; Shane made the experience very enjoyable. I would highly recommend the tour; not for the education about the science of brewing, but for the fun that brewing beer is all about! This is a fun tour that will completelysatisfy the basic bits of information that you need to appreciate that which makes a quality craft beer!
Brewery was neat to see. I am a huge fan of Sam Adams and Boston Beer Co. I will conitue to be loyal to them. But, I was a little disappointed in the tour. Especially since it was my birthday gift from my wife. The tour was educational but, not veryexciting. Saw very little of the brewery. I was hoping too but, sadly we did not. The tour guide was funny and when you did hearhim was educational. Too many people in the group. I personally think he over served himself as well. I have been on manybrewery tours and this was really worst one on I have been on. But, will continue to drink Sam Adams because they really do makegreat beer. This rating was based on the tour that we went on and not the great beer they make.
