We were looking for a new Cuban joint to try out. We came across this place, about a 20-minute drive, and let me tell you... it's delicious! Everything was nice and fresh and tasty. The Yuca Fries, which are commonly bought and fried, these looked authentic and were actually cooked in-house and then fried. Highly recommend trying it out! View all feedback.
What Eddy Vee doesn't like about The Cuban Place:
Nice clean small diner-esque style restaurant. Originally went to have a Cuban sandwich but was tempted by the menu to try something else. Not disappointed but also not impressed. The stuffed tostones are made with tiny shrimp in a red sauce, whereas every other restaurant I 've tried makes them in a garlic sauce with large shrimp. The red snapper fried filet was good. Really good traditional Cuban food. The cuban sandwich and ox tail was delicious. The lemonade claret was the perfect pairing super refreshing. Service was good and ambiance was cozy. Plenty of parking. Highly recommend.

As a Cuban, truly telling you it?s authentic Cuban food. Everything was delicious, and I loved the little touch of the empellita on top of the rice. Everyone ate good. Bien rico todo, de verdad que es auténtica comida cubana.
I have been looking for a great Cuban restaurant in Jacksonville! I found it! I can't wait to share with my son! Food is homemade, delicious and priced well!
