**Discovering Blue Fish: A Mixed Bag of Culinary Delights and Service Challenges** Blue Fish boasts a charming location in Jacksonville’s St. John's area, offering an appealing blend of seafood and steaks. The menu features standout dishes like key lime shrimp pasta and seared scallops, praised for freshness and flavor. However, service consistency remains a concern, with experiences ranging from exceptional to disappointing. While some diners enjoy attentive service and a lively ambiance, others report issues like unwelcoming hosts and insufficient follow-ups from staff. Despite these ups and downs, Blue Fish presents a cozy yet upscale dining option with worthwhile happy hour offerings, ideal for both date nights and casual gatherings.

The overall experience was wonderful. However, the service was not up to par. This is my third visit, and the previous two were fantastic. I'm not sure what went wrong this time. I had to ask for the pre-garnish and it was never offered after the meal. This was during Sunday brunch. We also had to wait a long time for our drinks, while other tables received theirs promptly, along with their garnishes.

Even though I had a reservation, we were seated right next to the broken door while two tables remained empty at the back. This was quite unacceptable. Additionally, the tiny restroom had toilet paper on the floor instead of a spindle. The small “private” parking area next to the restaurant isn't monitored, leading to parking issues. Despite these problems, we really love Blue Fish and make the trip there once a month. I believe these were simple issues that could easily be addressed, and with their excellent fresh fish, we look forward to returning.

One of the best restaurants in DDDUUUUVVVVAAAALLL!!

Tiara (Tiera? was GREAT!! Thank you to Sam(? For noticing the sun, and putting up the umbrella for us. We didn’t even have to ask, nor were we complaining, but it made a delightful difference!

The shrimp and grits and lobster ravioli were excellent. However, the selection of premium bottles could use some improvement.
