Sonny's -b-q - Jacksonville

We used to go to Sonny's 2-3 times a month. Their food quality has gotten bad. The switch to a different cut of beef has made it terrible. The ribs hardly have any meat anymore. The chicken is like eating powder, it has no texture at all. The beans are not as good. We have quit going. Have not been in months. Reducing your quality of meat is a mistake and you can not say you have not done so and be telling the truth. Your number of customers has to be down. I can also tell by the number of cars not in the parking lot anymore.

Ordered sliced beef sandwich and pulled chicken sandwich big deals. Each only $6.99 for lunch or dinner and includes a dinner. We got a coupon in the mail for a free appetizer so we ordered their delicious corn nuggets. Such a deal and the best BBQ in Jacksonville. Their sweet sauce is the best! The also let us use the coupons and big deals as a take out order. Only $14 for a huge order because eat in or take out its always huge portions. Plus you can get the sandwiches on buns or garlic bread. Mmmm... So good!

We were really disappointed with our whole experience last night. The place was literally empty but it took them 10 minutes to seat us. Then we ordered the feast for 4. It was an extra $5 to make it all you can eat and then another $2 for corn nuggets as a side item. Then when we asked for refills she said that we couldn't get a refill on the corn nuggets. We were a little upset that we paid an extra $7 and she didn't tell us beforehand that we couldn't get extra of that. Plus the place was a mess. Even when we sat down there was food all over the booth seats. On top of that, my in laws ordered ribs and they came out burnt. It was awful. Sonny's isn't what it used to be.
