What User doesn't like about Sonic Drive-in:
If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. My friend and I waited over 30 minutes in the drive-thru, and our order was never taken. No one acknowledged us on the headset, not even to let us know they would be with us shortly. After 20 minutes of waiting, we tried to place our order by pressing the red button, but no one answered. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. My friend and I waited over 30 minutes in the drive-thru, and our order was never taken. No one acknowledged us on the headset, not even to let us know they would be with us shortly. After 20 minutes of waiting, we tried to place our order by pressing the red button, but no one answered. We ended up waiting another 15 minutes without anyone taking our order. The service was horrendous. Despite being open, we were completely ignored, along with many other customers who left because no one was responsive at either ordering point.
We visited Sonic on Beach Blvd to enjoy the fresh 70-degree air after the rain. Unfortunately, as has often been the case, the service was quite disappointing. We ended up waiting around 40 minutes for one Shark Week Mud, a double cheeseburger, and a mini Reeses Blast. The order seemed simple enough. When we inquired about our wait, the manager, Helena, incorrectly insisted that we were in the drive-thru, despite us having asked three times about our status while we were standing there.
I ordered through the app while sitting at my table, and it took 25 minutes to receive three ice creams. When I inquired about our order and requested a refund, I noticed the ice creams sitting there. The staff member informed me that her order had only been placed 19 minutes ago, which is still unacceptable for ice cream, especially since it was partially melted when served. When I pointed out that it was melted, she claimed that we simply didn’t deserve it at that time. We came here to celebrate a special occasion with our little one, but the experience was disappointing and frustrating.
There seems to be always a problem with each sound in the rule, there is a job of the staff, the waiting time when it is not busy or eating not big. . it's a hit or I guess. the huh had a strange texture on the chicken sandwich and for the first time the manager came into the window of the car, took the sandwich and felt it then wondered if we wanted to make it new. Of course we said when it was a main meal, she cried to the door when she goes in to remake it, which neither looks good, nor customers, and it took one to remake one, everyone else was already done and we almost canceled when it finally came, but the new sandwich missing items from the sandwich that originally comes to it. we just said whatever and left it. in the regular a 3-star service and almost food place.
The service I received after ordering my food through Uber Eats was absolutely horrible. The service I received from Erica who stated she was the general manager was ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. She was very rude and not understanding of the situation at hand. I ordered food and I guess the system at sonic didn’t show my order but it did through Uber and my funds had already been taken out of my account. When the Uber driver arrived to pick it up, she told him that she wasn’t making my order and that I needed to figure it out. I called to explain to Erica the general manager and she said she didn’t see it so she wasn’t going to fix my food which it was for my children. I am at work and don’t have time to figure out what’s wrong with their system which is not my job to do anyways. It’s sonics system that doesn’t show my order so it was her job as the GENERAL MANAGER to ensure complete customer satisfaction since the Uber driver showed her the order. She stated while screaming at me “I need to take it up with Uber, she wasn’t making my food, it’s not her problem, and it wasn’t her problem to fix”. She was rube to the Uber Eats worker and me. A general manager should be able to work to find a solution and not just out right tell me you’re not going to fix the problem and hang up in my face. The worst part is she HUNG UP IN MY FACE AFTER SCREAMING WHAT SHE WAS NOT GOING TO DO. I called back 5x and she did not answer the phone bc she knew it was me. If she was having a bad day she should have called out. I will be writing a letter and also calling corporate about my service I’ve received from this location today. I buy here ALL the the time and usually spend about $40+ every visit bc we are a family of 6. Please do better and treat your paying customers with kindness and respect.
