It has been a while since I last visited this restaurant. The food was pretty good, but I was disappointed by the dirty and unkempt appearance of the place. Before I even sat down, I noticed the dirty chairs and felt compelled to take a picture and share my experience. The restaurant really needs to have a thorough cleaning. They have a fixed price menu and customers can select as many items as they want, but the portions are more like tapas. The cleanliness of the restaurant really needs to be improved. I didn't feel safe dining there, especially with the current Covid situation.
I had always heard about this place and wanted to try it out for myself. So, one Friday on my lunch break from work, I decided I would give it a shot. I walked in and they were packed! The only seats available were the ones at the Sushi Bar. I was perfectly fine sitting there, so I took my seat. The restaurant was very clean and sanitary. I ordered a Tuna Roll and a Shrimp Tempura roll. I didn't wait long at all and they were bringing out my food. I first tied the Tuna roll and I was amazed! The tuna on the inside was perfect and literally melted in my mouth! Then I tried the Shrimp tempura roll and was equally amazed! The rolls were a bit smaller than I had normally seen, but what they lacked in size, they made up for in flavor! I devoured both of the Tuna and Shrimp Tempura rolls and decided I wanted to try something else. So, I asked the waitress to some tuna in sashimi form. Again, it was out in literally 5 minutes. Upon giving me my food, she recommended that I taste it before adding anything like soy or wasabi to it, so I did. It was the best sushi that I've tasted to this day! I've had some really good sushi before, but this was perfect! I really wished I had more room in my belly for more, but I was about to bust! I intend on going back as soon as possible, but next time I want to take my wife, as she is a sushi lover as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes sushi in it's simplest form, made the old traditional way. I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were not greeted for a while. A waitress eventually took our drink orders and requested our menus. Unsure of what she meant by "papers," we glanced at the menu to fill out our order. The waitress didn't speak much English, causing some confusion with pricing. It would be wise for future customers to study the menu before ordering. However, once the food arrived, it was delicious and well-prepared. The quality of the food really stood out. They charged us for items we didn't consume, so we recommend ordering smaller portions to avoid unnecessary charges. Despite some issues with the service, we still enjoyed the meal.
This restaurant offers excellent value for lunch. They have lunch specials including two rolls with soup and salad for $8.99, or three rolls with soup and salad for $11.99. They also offer a dinner special where you can get any two of the chef's special rolls and receive a third one for free. Additionally, you can use a coupon to get $5 off a purchase of $30. The atmosphere is fantastic, with a modern feel. I would definitely come back again.
