A wonderful dining experience, with timely delivery of delicious dishes and plenty of French bread. Accommodating staff and great dessert selections make this restaurant highly recommended. Although beware of expensive up-charges for substitutions, the overall experience is worth a visit. Perfect for a special dinner or date night, JJ's Bistro is a hidden gem in Southside that will leave you looking forward to your next visit.
Usually it's quite good. A bit pricey. Crème Brule left alot to be desired.
Service was very good ⦠But the food was very poor
JJ's Bistro is a hidden gem in Southside that my wife and I frequent often. The menu is a well executed French cuisine with a decent wine list. On our last visit we got the mussels for an appetizer, I got the steak au poivre and my wife got the strip on top of the seafood risotto. The steaks and mussels were good, but the seafood risotto absolutely stole the show. We finished our meal with the banana florentine which was delicious. The dining room is cozy and intimate, but doesn't feel too crowded and the service is attentive, but not overbearing. I would definitely recommend JJ's for for your next special dinner.
The dining experience was wonderful, with the appropriate attention from the wait staff. Appetizer, salad and entrÃe's were delivered in a timely manner along with plenty of French bread and herb butter, Yum! The food was excellent along with the ambiance. We will come back again soon.
