Dolce’s Pizza - Jacksonville

The food was quite good for a pizza place. The Stromboli was a great size, although it was a bit more expensive than at other spots. My only complaint is that the cannoli was somewhat disappointing; the filling didn’t seem well-mixed and it was lacking in chocolate chips.

This is an excellent local pizza spot! The staff are friendly and attentive. The pizza is delicious, but don't overlook the non-pizza options on the menu. The portion sizes are generous and the quality of the food is impressive.

I keep trying to support this small business, but it has consistently disappointed me. The pizza is okay, but for the price, it’s just not worth it for my family. I've made at least five visits, trying different items in-store and even ordering delivery. Tonight was the final straw. I ordered a pasta dinner to go, which was supposed to come with bread and a salad. I paid an extra $4 for chicken and $5 for a Caesar salad, which I’ve attached a photo of. When I called to ask why I was charged for an upgrade when all I received was some iceberg lettuce and pizza cheese, I was told that this was indeed the upgraded salad and then was put on hold indefinitely. Honestly, I should have known better than to call—the food tastes as disappointing as that so-called “upgraded” salad.

In the past Dolce?s Pizza was my favorite local spot for pizza/calzones. That is not the case anymore. The service and quality of food has fallen off. My most recent order I was up-charged to add ham and jalapeños to a deluxe calzone? I received a ham, cheese, and jalapeño only calzone? The BBQ chicken pizza had so much BBQ sauce that the pizza was soggy and cheese was half melted. This is not the first time I have had this type of experience with Dolce?s. Unfortunately, this seems to have become a trend for the restaurant.

Wow! I?ve been a fan for 10 years . It?s one of the best NYC styled pizza restaurants in town. From the signature calzones to the sweet pepperoncinis it?s all delicious and always tastes like homemade. One of Duval?s finest (certified).
