Cuisine 76 - Jacksonville
Cuisine 76
Description
Tucked into a lively neighborhood, this family-run Mediterranean bar blends homemade Syrian recipes with a relaxed bar-food vibe. Friendly, hands-on ownership and staff, a back patio with hookah and casual seating make it a warm neighborhood hangout; highlights include standout kebabs, lamb chops, khachapuri, tatziki and light Syrian baklava.
Expect hits and misses—perfect rice and rich vol-au-vent contrast with bland hummus, generic bread and occasional dry chicken. It’s seat-yourself with no reservations, best for casual meals, families and groups rather than formal romantic dinners.

The staff here is incredibly friendly, and the food is truly exceptional. After dining at another restaurant, we were drawn in by the welcoming smiles and enticing aromas that wafted our way. We were promptly seated on the back patio and soon found ourselves enjoying a variety of delicious appetizers and drinks. The service was outstanding, and the staff was remarkable. The food was fantastic! This has quickly become my favorite spot in Riverside, if not all of Jacksonville.
This restaurant does not require reservations. It's a "seat yourself" establishment that leans more towards a bar food vibe. While the food was good, I wouldn't recommend it for someone looking to make a reservation for a sit-down romantic dinner.
The restaurant appears to be quite new and has a charming atmosphere. The food was tasty; I was particularly eager to try the lamb chops. We started with hummus and pita, and my wife ordered the Mediterranean Mix. We enjoyed every dish we tried. Afterward, I stepped out to the patio, which was intimate for just the two of us, but I can imagine it getting crowded with more than ten guests. Overall, we had a lovely experience, and I would definitely return for the lamb chops.
Cool spot in Jax! Owner and staff are wonderful, hardworking and very friendly! They were incredibly busy that night as well as understaffed, down a server and *the* bartender!, but we had a marvelous time none the less. The owner, May, did her absolute best behind the bar and looked up every recipe, threw gloves over her perfectly manicured nails and dove in head first with every order! That's what a real restaurant owner looks like, folks. I wish I'd been available to stretch my old barkeep muscle but I was too exhausted from the drive and hospital visit earlier that day. Didn't matter though, everyone got their drinks in time and I heard no complaints. Also while you're there check out the outdoor hookah bar out back!! We didn't have time that day but it's definitely something we'll do next time we're in town! The food was excellent as well, I will definitely be back next time we make it to Jacksonville!!
I took my Yiaya here for a belated birthday lunch. We ordered the tatziki, but were skeptical. Once it came out and we tried it, it was absolutely delicious. Best restaurant tatziki we've had. We also ordered the kabobs, and those too were just as flavorful if not more so. We spoke to one of the owners. They are Syrian, and all the food is homemade in house, family recipes. Once we expressed our gratitude for the delicious food and shared we came to celebrate my yiaya, she was kind enough to bring out the Syrian version of baklava (also homemade . This was outstanding! It wasn't like our Grecian version with heavy syrup. It was light and made mostly of pistachios. Thank you, May (Maye? : for making my yiaya's birthday celebration special. For my yiya to be as complimentary of your dishes as she was says a lot about what you have brought to five points. Thank you, bunches!! We will be back
