Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

I love chedders .. do I have to say more? I go there for the monte christos, they were from what it takes to make one! I was sad, but still good....Country fried steak my 2nd choice.

Place was okay and staff polite, but what got me was they sell beer by the pint (16oz) and also a 23oz. I ordered the 23oz but they said they didn't have the right size of glass. So I asked if they could just serve me the 23oz split into two glasses, but the server wanted to charge me for two beers because it would be in two glasses. Super dumb. Take it off the menu if you aren't going to serve it.

Went in today with my bf and had the worst service ever. The hosts at the door were all lounging on their phones and didn 't greet us until we said hello. We asked for a booth if it was available and they said hold on then the host Tatianna took us to a table right next to a party of 12. I asked to be moved to a table a little spaced out and she said no one is serving over there. I asked if she could check and she said no, I 'm sure no one is serving here. Then she took us to a different booth and we waited for over 10 minutes with no server. I asked the server who came by if she could find our server. She want and spoke with Tatianna and never returned. We left

Had a yummy meal here with my friends. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was okay... our waiter didn't check on us very often and my drink was empty. I had to wave him down.

I 've been to many other Cheddar 's locations on business travel, so I 've been meaning to stop in at this location since moving to Jacksonville. There was a short wait, which is expected on a Saturday afternoon so no big deal there. Once we were sat, our server was.....odd. It was one of those I really don 't want to be here type of tones being used. On top of that, they kept telling us about things they 'd screwed up for other customers through the day. It was kind of like Oh ok, thanks for telling us that? I guess? . They did screw up one thing for us. They put in cheese fries instead of cheese curds for our appetizer. I understand mistakes happen but we had that feeling like I guess this will go on the list of things they 've screwed up today . The really weird thing was they came to tell us about it, then showed us how they made the mistake in the computer. We were just kind of like Ok? Can we have the cheese curds though ? lol. People have off days, so that 's fine. The speed with which our drinks and food were delivered were great. We both liked our entrees and I 've always loved the atmosphere at Cheddar 's. So overall, it 's a 4 star visit that would 've been a 5 without the odd ball attitude.
