Been wanting to try some Ethiopian food and I'm glad I did. As I walked in the air was filled with a wonderful aroma. What Nancy McCartney doesn't like about Ahadu Ethiopian:
I ordered to go for the veggie combo, doro wot and tibbs. The veggie combo was delicious, the doro wot had two bites of chicken in it along with the egg. For some odd reason both the tibbs and doro wot tasted sweet. Almost as if they added sugar or something. Sadly I won’t be going back there. I’ll stick to my other Ethiopian restaurants in Jax. Extremely great food!!!! awesome ppl small mom and pop place that makes you feel like you are family. Please support this place it was so worth it.
The food is delicious and now they are offering 100% gluten-free injera bread, made with teff and not mixed with any wheat. Double check before you go, but I spoke with the owner about it. She was super nice and informative. The food is excellent. Highly recommended!
Super friendly staff, flavor rich food, amazing coffee. Don't be afraid to try new things, I couldn't pronounce any of what I ate but that didn't stop me. We will be back!
What a gem! First time here and we will be back! The food was perfect- delicious , fresh, perfectly spiced. Service was friendly and quick. This place was awesome! We’ve had Ethiopian food in many places and I would rate this right up there with the best!
The customer service was outstanding, and the staff was incredibly friendly! The food was delicious, and I will definitely return. As for the vegetarian options, they were excellent, with fantastic seasoning!
