A wonderful dining experience! The entire team was so welcoming and the food was amazing!
My husband and I had dinner there last night. The exterior of this restaurant leaves a lot to be desired but it was much nicer inside. Service was weird and pushy. Our server spent too much time explaining how they did things and seemed to want to impress us but we found the entire thing a bit pretentious. We ordered the scallop appetizer to share since two scallops seemed like plenty right before dinner but our server wanted to make it clear that all dishes, including the appetizers, were portioned for one. We ordered it anyway. I dislike restaurants that shove the table for two people into tight corners and that is exactly what they did there. It 's a little thing but it matters to me. Very overpriced and mediocre food. Here 's what really got my blood boiling: the bill included a 7% Property and Infrastructure Fee. The explanation on the bottom of the bill tells us this is added to support wage equity and farm management. Didn 't we already do that by paying for those overpriced foods? As we were leaving the owner said something like Hope to see you again and I said not likely. She came chasing out the door after us to ask me what I didn 't like. I told her the 7% fee was absurd and should have been disclosed prior to our ordering since it did not pay for food or gratuity. I felt it was greedy and underhanded. She started to argue with me but then threw up her hands and went back inside. AT THIS RESTAURANT YOU WILL PAY NH MEALS TAX AND A 7% CHARITABLE DONATION TO THE OWNERS. ABSURD.
Lovely dinner on the patio. The food was outstanding. Kate was very generous and Vinnie was attentive and knowledgeable. I would put this place up with any fine restaurant anywhere in the world. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
