The food quality/taste has been so inconsistent but seems to be consistently poor lately. I just picked up an order and it is tasteless. It's going in the garbage and I'll be looking for another Chinese food take out place. I'll never waste my money going to Mein King again...absolutely awful!
I ordered a General Tso's chicken combo that came with shrimp fried rice and a shrimp roll. It was just okay. The entire combo tasted like it came from the hot food section at ShopRite or from the frozen food aisle.
An hour and a half later, the food arrived, and it was exactly what we hoped for—well worth the $70 (plus a generous tip for the driver who made the trek through the snowy roads—thank you, whoever you are!). The sushi was fresh, the entrees were hot, and there were plenty of condiments. I deducted one star because they didn't automatically apply a coupon for a free fried rice or sushi roll when you spend a certain amount; this should be applied without having to ask. Overall, MK has won our approval for good quality takeout.
