We visited this place yesterday for lunch, after hearing about it on a local radio station. The place is spot clean, food is great and the young lady who took our order Ms. Jordan is a gem. She is a down to earth person, pleasant manner and always asmile on her face. She even offered my wife to make fresh coffee if she wishes. Top class place. What Miller Walker doesn't like about Hub City Deli:
Breakfast. I believe Hub City recently started serving breakfast. The meat was good, everything else is subpar quality. Biscuits and gravy, powdered gravy expected more. Specifically asked if biscuits were homemade, employee confirms ?yes? however, thebiscuits are clearly brought on. I expected more from Hub City Deli. View all feedback.
If you're dining with non-vegans, the hippie veggie sandwich is a decent choice. Simply omit the cheese to make it vegan, and the sandwich remains delicious.
I recently tried the Hippie Picnic Sandwich at this restaurant and was very satisfied. The sandwich is vegan, just make sure to ask for it without Provolone cheese. The grilled mix of squash, zucchini, bell peppers, red onions, and mushrooms gave the sandwich a delicious flavor. I will definitely be ordering it again in the future. The staff were friendly and accommodating when I mentioned I was vegan and needed some modifications to my order.
The hip picnic sandwich is vegan when ordered without provolone. the grilled squash, zucchini, paprika, red squash and mushrooms give the sandwich a great taste. it's something that I'll order again. the staff was helpful and knowledgeable when I let them know that I was vegan and ordered with changes.
Delicious food! I have been 2x now and both sandwiches (the Italian last trip and the Piggy Sue today) were delicious. I love the vibes inside and the patio is great also.
I tried the house-made fresh smoked pastrami on rye bread and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the service was excellent. This sandwich shop is the best I have ever visited. It's a shame I was just passing through while traveling.
