The food was great, it was plenty and for a good price. The waiters were also really nice. It is kind of in an industrial area but don't let the outside look fool you it is very nicely decorated on the inside! Would highly recommend this place if youare in Jackson, MS! View all feedback.

DO NOT TAKE YOURSELF OR FAMILY to dine their!.. This weekend just passed was my mother 's 83rd B 'day. I reserved the party room/area for about 30 people. It was us plus other family members visiting from other states!.. We get their and IT WAS A REAL LIVE ROACH!!.. CRAWLING ON THE TABLE!!. I was sooo embarrassed/horrified. Hey All Our friends had a wonderful time at Hal and Mal's My Wife's Nephew graduated so our family came to Hal and Mal's and wow the meal was awesome from the chicken wings and mac and cheese balls and wonderful tomales and empanadas chicken strips crawfish dip and great sweet like churro rolls with fresh made whip cream A Thanks to our Host .
Food was amazing, live music was excellent and then staff was awesome. Chris was an excellent server and had a great attitude and work ethic with our large group. Huge thank you for the great experience and food. If we are ever in the area again, we will be returning for sure. Highly recommend. The gumbo was fantastic, and make sure to try the catfish nuggets!
