Amazing paninis and pizza. My favorite panini is the roast beef and the Margherita pizza is divine. Conveniently located in Fondren Corner close to Rooster's.
Nice staff and food is always solid. Really good pizzas.
I had the brisket panini, which was absolutely delicious. The fresh bread is the key to these tasty sandwiches. Will be returning again soon.

A word: delicious! this is one of the best pizzas I had in a long time. everything is fresh, fresh, fresh. the basilikum is fresh, the teig is perfect, and the tie pasta is also fresh. the personal was friendly and professional. we have bought various pizzas: the state tribes, the fondren, pfefferoni, cheese and the margherita. we were all 100% satisfied. the pizza comes only in a size (10” but it is more than enough for 1-2 people. I recommend this pizza compound.

It was my first visit, and instead of a warm welcome and helpful recommendations from the woman at the register, I experienced rudeness and a rushed demeanor. I ordered a panini along with a side of bowtie pasta, but when I checked my order in the car, I discovered the pasta was missing. When I went back inside to inquire about it, I found that my sandwich was cold. I requested that it be reheated, but the staff ignored my request. Rather than engage in a dispute, I politely asked for a refund and decided to go somewhere else.

The Crab Cake salad was fantastic, but I found the banana pudding to be underwhelming.
I've always visited Basil's in downtown Jackson, but recently I ordered from this other location through an app since it was available. I usually get the grilled chicken pasta salad, and it's always delicious at the downtown spot. However, this location must have been having an off day. According to other reviews, their food is generally good, but my experience was different. The chicken wasn’t grilled; it tasted processed and prepackaged, definitely not fresh. The downtown version always includes large chunks of mozzarella, but this one didn’t have any. The bread that comes with the downtown order is perfectly charred and flavorful, but here it was barely toasted and seemed to just be lightly oiled. Overall, it was a bit disappointing. I'll definitely stick with the downtown branch from now on.
The best pizza I've ever had, and I really like the way they slice it. I ordered the State St Pizza.
