Diaz Tex-mex - Itasca
Diaz Tex-mex
Description
In a recent review of a local restaurant, diners expressed mixed feelings about their experiences. While some found the food consistently disappointing, citing canned beans, dry rice, and greasy offerings that seemed pre-prepared, others highlighted a contrasting enjoyable lunch experience with fresh, authentic meals and attentive service. The $5.99 lunch specials were particularly noted for their value. However, issues like burnt steaks and misleading breakfast hours detracted from its reputation. Ultimately, this restaurant appears to struggle with consistency, leaving patrons divided on whether to return or seek meals elsewhere, illustrating the challenges of maintaining quality in the dining industry.

The restaurant consistently serves delicious dishes and provides excellent service at a fair price.
This restaurant was a disappointment. The beans tasted canned, the rice was dry, and the plate was greasy, with only the tamale benefiting from the moisture. The enchiladas I ordered had meat and cheese that slid out of the tortilla due to the grease. It seemed like the entire plate had been microwaved before being served because nothing tasted fresh. Overall, it was a negative experience.
The food at this restaurant is consistently excellent. I decided to try the taco dinner and it did not disappoint.
