The place is informal, the cuisine with typical dishes that you can find almost everywhere in this area. Very crowded place where very often you happen to be in the middle of a baptism, a birthday party with Karaoke, but we walk there from home and it 's ok. Last supper on May 31st. Yesterday they present us the new menu, new only for the prices. Raw fish from one week to the next went from € 30 to € 50, first courses from € 14/16 to € 20/22 and everything consequently. I asked for an explanation and they replied that they have adapted to the other restaurants. We get up, say goodbye, take the scooter and go to dinner at Lampara, a kilometer away, where the cuisine is very similar, but at least you dine on the sea and there has been no adjustment of prices. Let 's see in October, when we stay here in 4 cats, if you can do without the people who live here, but they won 't come to you anymore. This is not Porto Cervo..

An added bonus is that the house wine (white) was very drinkable and at 6 euros a litre is a bargain!

Desserts also to recommend panna cotta and tiramisu. There isnt many good places around and the other place nearby was always closed .... service doesnt speak much English but they were so nice and accomodating we made it work with little words there and there. Wine was SO good and such great value really Good Italian food. 5 stars.

And about atmosphere: this feels like a canteen NOT A RISTORANTE , the hygiene is bad just plain table without and table cloth you pay for a price that you have the same atmosphere like youre a student going your school canteen or like McDonald’s, the disappointment come also from the extremely slow ordering and serving dishes, we ordered since 9pm and finally got our dishes around 10:30pm. IN SUMMARY, THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE HERE WAS REALLY BAD. You deserve better, your wallet deserve better.

We found the little gem that is Verde Basilico. I was going to wait until I returned to the UK but felt sitting here relaxing, waiting for my espresso before we have a walk on the beach was the perfect opportunity to talk about this restaurant. We didn’t google but instead it was a drive by find. The relaxing atmosphere and lovely location can not be questioned. It’s a hot October day in Sicily and where better to enjoy lunch. The staff are lovely and attentive. The girls, all of them have had a lovely lunch and are taking home their pizza for later as the portion sizes are generous. All in all a lovely Sunday lunch and this is a great little place. Cleanliness it excellent too. I had the vegetable pizza, Jess was a little bit blown away with the pepperoni but flavours beautiful. Can’t forget the little popped crispy olives. We’re all leaving happy bunnies.
