Bruno American Bar looks very great and promising from the outside, but we had a very mixed experience. We have ordered gelato con brioche. The ice cream was very very mediocre, and the brioche was not really fresh. Everywhere this costs 3,00 euro, here they charged us 3,50 each. If you're looking for authentic tastes that brings you back to the past surrounded by an historical and scenic baroque frame, then here you are in the right place! American Bar by Bruno is the best place where to enjoy a wonderful breakfast in perfect Sicilian style. The masterpiece is the roasted almonds granita accompanied by the brioche. A puffy snow enriched with the almonds by following an old family recipe that Bruno has retrieved from his grandmother recipes book. And then, the choice of so many typical product part of the slow food program. A food chain that promotes local farmers economy with a not industrial production. High quality and great selection of spread creams of sesame at different intensity of tastes. Wide selection of hand made Gelato and other sweet delights. Go and enjoy the authentic Sicilian taste.
Everything we had here was excellent: ice cream, cappuccinos, tiramisu, brioche con gelato, gratine. Highly recommended! Also great staff and it's a nice place to chat with locals.

On advice of a person in the area, we decide to try this bar for a cool and relaxing lunch break in ispica. kind and courteous staff. the granita is very good. I was very pleased with my choice of geese, almonds and ricotta. good presentation also! not exceptional the brioche. good value for money. recommended.
