Sea Fish - Islington
Sea Fish
Description
Sea Fish offers a Scandinavian-style setting with a light, airy room and well-prepared fish. While some diners found the chips lacking in flavor, others praised them as outstanding. The atmosphere is clean and modern, with a spacious interior and a pleasant outdoor area. Regulars appreciate the staff's warmth and the perfect balance of the chips, but some find the drink prices a bit steep. Overall, Sea Fish is a popular spot for takeaway fries, with mixed reviews on the accompanying dishes and beverages.

The fish was good, but the chips were disappointing. The restaurant has a Scandinavian style, with a light and airy room featuring wood, white walls, and some exposed brick. I didn't try the sit-down menu, as I opted for a takeaway from the fish and chip counter at the front. The regular cod and chips cost just under £5, which was a decent price. The fish was moist and fresh, with a golden crispy batter indicating some care was put into its preparation. However, the chips were pale and lacking in flavor. I prefer crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, so I wasn't impressed with them.
This is my go-to spot for takeaway fries. The fries are always just the right thickness and never overcooked, so they're never too dry. Plus, at £2.50 a portion, they're reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and engaging, and they never skimp on toppings for the fries. My only issue is the high price of drinks - £1 for a can of Coke seems a bit much.
We recently enjoyed a seafood feast at this restaurant. Our meal included a platter of lobster, whiting, shrimp, and calamari, all served with linguine pasta in a fresh tomato sauce and a side of delicious chips. Although it was a Sunday and the chef responsible for our dish was not cooking that day, it was still well-prepared. The chips were particularly outstanding - I would even go as far as to say they were perfect. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Good fish, bad chips. there is a restaurant behind this Scandinavian style of light, airy room with wood, white walls and some exposed bricks. I can't comment on the sit-down menu as I got a takeaway from the fish chip counter at the front of the load. regular cod chips for just under is not bad. the fish was freshly moist, the teig golden crispy an encouraging sign that some care was taken in the fish. but the chips were pale bland. I like my chips that are crispy outside and are fluffy inside, so I don't calculate them here.
I just feel bad, because she was very pleasant. it is really not her fault that the fish and chips did not form the brand; you expressed me deeply regret when I actually started up and asked if the chips were freshly prepared. for the case that they wondered, I referred to the only waitress on sea fish to bring the dings into context, there was no other in sea fish than we were there on a late weekday afternoon. we wanted to see canonbury kitchen in the islington upper street, but it only opens for dinner. I could never imagine that there would be places along the upper street opening only for dinner. now, most would open for lunch...read more
