To enter into highbury park restaurant iznik is really like a mini-break in the turkey; the decoration, atmosphere and eating are so evocatiw, and the service is a joy. on the menu is beautiful delicate lamb, moist chicken and authentic juices, washed with red wine, Turkish coffee and a little baklava naturally.
I love this restaurant. I've been here for over 15 years. sometimes the hanging decorations change, sometimes the dishes change, but the core is always the same. authentic. relaxed.
North london should be home to a fair number of Turkish restaurants. The Starters: We start off with tarmasalata and hummous. Both are good, but the tarmasalata is nowhere near as good as the tarmasalata at The Eagle. The pita is really nice though. It's warm and soft but not too soft. The Mains: I go for something in yogu
