Description

Visitors to this Caledonian Road gem can expect good food, friendly service, and a warm atmosphere. Despite a previous hygiene rating concern, recent patrons have enjoyed the budget-friendly prices and traditional British/Mediterranean fare. The menu offers a wide variety from coffee and cake to Mediterranean dishes like Spanish omelettes. The café is popular among locals and visitors alike, with special mention of the welcoming owners. Cash only, but conveniently located near a free ATM. Overall, a recommended spot for a tasty and affordable meal in North London.

Agree with other reviewers RE amazing lamb! Really nice food but a bit of an odd atmosphere inside. Personally that didn’t bother me much! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

I have been going to this restaurant all football season and I have never had a negative experience. The owners are incredibly kind and respectful, and they serve delicious food at great prices. I will definitely be returning.

This is one of those unique British/Mediterranean style cafes and one where I regularly drop in for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Traditional UK Café fare but when it gets Mediterranean things go very unique. The Spanish omelette is about as close to the real dish as you can get and while chips are the standard option you may find their always fresh salads are the very best way to complement it. Mid morning and late afternoon are best for service when it is quieter. Ideally aimed at anyone over 55 if you are curious about their background music but notably pulls in younger individuals and couples that tend to appreciate the arts. A choice of instant or ground coffee to suit pocket and taste is matched by the standard UK cafe menu but walk over to the chilled display at the counter after 9 am to see the freshly prepared dinner range of Turkish and Italian dishes and you will be back again and again! Final point and bearing in mind the suitable times, his is an ideal place to meet up and become a regular place to relax whether it is for a tea/coffee or something better than what fast food outlets offer. Bon Appetit !
