This is definitely the nicest itsu I've been to, both in terms of food and of atmosphere. It's not huge, but the walls of windows give it a nice, upmarket vibe. I had a salmon poke bowl, and it was delicious, fresh, and full of flavour; the quality of the food makes it hard to call it fast! Definitely on my radar next time I'm in the area. Went here in the evening (7pm), was pretty relaxed and chill. The person serving was really helpful, helped us with the kiosks and then also helped us finding siracha sauce. Itsu is a fast casual restaurant that offers a slightly upscale atmosphere with reasonable prices. The menu is Asian-inspired, leaning more towards Japanese cuisine. Itsu has significantly expanded its vegan options over the years, all clearly labeled on the menu and packaging. Some standout dishes include the Detox Miso Noodle Soup, Veggie Dragon Roll with vegan mayo, Veggie Meatballs Coconut Soup, and Veggie Gyoza Noodle Bowl. There are many other vegan and vegetarian options worth trying as well. The staff are knowledgeable about vegan choices, as veganism is common in the UK. I would give Itsu a 3.5 rating due to its chain status, but bumped it up to a 4 for its high quality and healthy food offerings.
I've only recently discovered ITSU, but since heading out east centre of London, the standard is nothing like the western equivalents. It wasn't as if the place was busy. A) the soup I'd ordered was tepid. I like hot food, and this pot was as hot as I would expect it to be when I'd nearly finished it. They did provide a fresh, hot one when I complained. B) The soup I ordered was Noodle soup. You fill in the blanks. See photos and if you can identify the meat correctly, you can.give yourself a pat on the back. They assured me it was what it was advertised as. Answers on a postcard to the Meat and Livestock Commission. Hint: It's not squid. Nor Poodle.
