Fabulous 698b - Islington

In 2016 I was fortunate enough to sample the culinary delights of Guillaume at his Fabulous698B supper club……fast forward 5 years and he has gone from strength strength with his supper club but has also opened a super gem of a restaurant called Gilvic in Hoxton. From the street, the restaurant is easily missed, but once you venture downstairs underneath the twinkling lights, you are greeted by this very talented chef and welcomed into his fresh, crisply decorated little oasis. To say he is passionate about the food he so beautifully presents, is an understatement, as each dish is cooked to perfection with the sauces and accompaniments cleverly matched. Guillaume was a pleasure to deal with when I made the booking for 10 of us with varying dietary requirements and a specific food allergy to take into account and he tweaked the 5 course tasting menu to suit our palettes. I simply cannot hesitate in recommending his supper-club and/or restaurant

A BIG thank you to Guillaume and Maja for a fantastic amazing private lunch which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. We are all still buzzing! You made the unique reunion that much more special for us. The lunch was excellent, fresh, delicious and artistically presented. The gin and elderflower tonic was delightful and the dessert was an enormous hit. The venue setting was perfect and the way you laid out the room was lovely. We would not hesitate to recommend you. We do hope that you do well and when the time is right are able to open your restaurant.

The food at this restaurant was amazing with unique and unfamiliar ingredients. The 16-hour braised lamb was incredibly delicious. The atmosphere of the place was warm and inviting, and the complimentary cocktail upon arrival was a nice gesture. Maja's description of the dishes was enthusiastic and made the experience even better. Overall, it was a fantastic dinner. Just fabulous!

Fantastic evening! Amazing food great service! The food was perfect, 4 course and all superb, specially the dessert! My friend had a vegetarian option and love it as well. The host was very attentive and present. And it is good value for money... Highly recommended!

We had an amazing time food was so tasty, even the veggy starter was incredible, but the best is the dessert, it said More than an Eton mess and it was so much more! Great service too, it felt very comfortable.. I will be back soon...
