What Marion Blümler doesn't like about Cote Brasserie- Barbican:
The food was disgraceful we ordered a steak with gratin d’auphinois, which costs £16.9, the “steak” (if you could call it that, 1 cm width piece of terrible meat) arrived not even seared, butter not melted, and the gratin was cold and undercooked. Went for a meal at lunch. Staff were very friendly but I would have liked if they could have checked up on us a few times as we were trying to get attention for a while before someone noticed us. Apart from that every was all good. The food was great and delicious. Good portion sizes.
We were warmly welcomed by Sam who was delighted to see us again. Every aspect of the evening was spot on. Everyone was so attentive and the food was delicious. The fixed price menu is excellent value too.
