We were looking for a restaurant before attending the Six Nations rugby match and were extremely pleased with everything. The reservation process was smooth and we even received a reminder. The staff member was ready for us when we arrived. From the moment we were seated to when we left, we couldn't find a single flaw. Thank you so much. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. What Nels Green doesn't like about Sizlers Italian Restaurant:
Wait for an hour to be served in a very cold location! Food was good, but although it is included on the menu that vegetables, I was charged 4:50 for green beans. View all feedback.
Lovely restaurant . The staff are very friendly food is good . Been a few times now and never disappointed
The food was of excellent quality and very authentic. However, the service was subpar, as the waiting staff were not particularly attentive. For instance, one of my guests follows a gluten-free diet and informed the waitress of her allergy. She ordered the chicken liver, but it was served with gravy. When she asked if there was flour in the gravy, the more senior waiter confirmed that there was. My guest then began discussing with another guest, who had ordered a rib-eye steak, the possibility of swapping dishes. The waiter overheard their conversation and must have recognised the awkwardness of the situation, yet did not offer to rectify it. Discreetly, I approached the waiter and asked if the chicken liver could be served without the gravy, but he insisted that the dish would not taste right without it. I explained that my guest really wished to have the chicken liver without the gravy and offered to pay for a replacement if necessary. As the waiter agreed my guest returned the dish (untouched), yet I was still charged for both meals. Despite this, we left satisfied, as the staff were generally friendly and I did offer to pay for the replacement! However, in most restaurants, the dish would have been replaced, especially given that my guest had specified her inability to eat gluten. The price was reasonable for eight guests, even though I paid for ten mains, along with some starters and desserts.
Delicious food and service is fantastic as usual. Will be back again soon.
Great little restaurant tucked up in a courtyard, very quiet but good for us as we got lots of attention and the staff, chef and owner were awesome. Food and service was top notch, we wish we'd found it earlier in our little break at Syon Park. It is accessible but not sure you would get a wheelchair in the toilets very easily.
We waited an hour for our food even though there were 3 tables filled. We were served the house wine when we asked for a more expensive one. Weren’t shown the bottle etc. and assumed it was fine. We were then charged for the more expensive bottle. When we asked where our food was, the waitress was polite but said ‘we’re short staffed. The waiter is having to cook in the kitchen and I’m only here to help out’. We complained that the people outside smoking was coming into the restaurant and it was very unpleasant. Nothing was done about it. Their veranda is too small to accommodate smokers. Once we had paid and were ready to leave, the chef arrived with limoncello for the adults and a scoop of ice cream for the kids. Obviously a nice gesture but it was too little too late. I’m saddened by our experience because it’s our most local restaurant but we will not be returning.
