Azuma Sushi Teppan - Isleta Pueblo

Not a pleasant experience as a family dinner. All dishes that we ordered were not tasty, and our server was not friendly at all. Not recommended.

We had Mona as our waitress and she was amazing, attentive and super friendly. It was super busy and she still managed to be on top of things! The food was alright, my filet was overcooked and not as tender as it usually is and our chef didn’t do the onion volcano!

I was disappointed in the food. I ordered the filet mignon, the highest priced item on the menu. It was served cold, chopped into cubes and covered with a sweet sauce. I had to chew my way through gristle and fat since I couldn't see what I was eating. It wasn't tender by any means. The sushi rolls fell apart and the fish itself had skin and tough parts in it. It wasn't delicate at all and I had the choice of swallowing a clump of fish I couldn't chew, or spit it out. I swallowed and it was not fun. I won't be returning.

This was the worst experience we have ever had. It was my nieces birthday so we were expecting a better experience considering we normally do family birthday dinners at places like this. The chief was not very friendly at all and burned most of our food!! We will never go back to Azumas again and just stick to Hibachi where the people are friendly and the food is excellent! Definitely a thumbs down for this restaurant!

Ate here last night for my Daughter's birthday it was horrible all of our food he burnt he was scraping off the burnt rice and burnt noodles off the grill.. So all of our food had that burnt almost gas taste we will NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!
