Amazing cakes and pastries. I recommend the eccles cakes which are like a cross between a 'normal ' eccles cake and a giant cookie. However, the so-called IoW doughnuts are very disappointing, they 're solid cinnamon doughnuts with a few sultanas in the dough, no filling at all. Plenty of other yummies to have instead! Be aware they 're closed on Sundays, despite their website saying they 're open every day. View all feedback.
What elizabethsS1890CZ doesn't like about Graces Bakery:
The hot chocolate was good, but the doughnut was very average - it had a good flavor but was more like bread. The staff were abrupt, rude, and unfriendly, and we heard similar comments from other customers while we were there. View all feedback.
This restaurant is a total rip-off. I was overcharged for a wrap and coffee at £6.80 for takeaway, only to later discover they offer a meal deal for £4.50. When I asked for a refund, the staff member was unwilling to give back more than 70p. I refuse to patronize this establishment again on principle, and I would not recommend it to anyone else. Zero stars!

Very nice bakery. Huge rage of cakes, sweet buns and doughnuts to choose from. Reasonably priced. We came back on the same day to buy one more of the Isle of Wight traditional doughnut.
Be prepared for rude and disrespectful service at this restaurant. Unfortunately, it seems to be a widespread issue rather than just one staff member. We experienced unfriendly behavior, including a staff member making a rude gesture to a child through a window. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and definitely tarnishes the reputation of the otherwise friendly community in Shanklin. Additionally, don't be fooled by rainbow bunting during pride week - true LGBTQ+ friendliness is more than just decoration.
Went in to order some breakfast and was not greeted with an ‘hello’, just ‘what do you want ‘ from the elderly gentleman. He immediately put my goods into a plastic bag then huffed and puffed when I ordered drinks to have in. He promptly threw the bag away and made it obvious that he was upset about my order. The fact that he did not even wait for me to inform him that I wanted to eat in was obvious. The coffee was great but the service is certainly to be desired! He definitely needs retraining.
