Barquito Mawimbi Beach Bar Restaurant

After a hot July day on Isla Holbox we were looking for a nice spot to watch the sunset and have dinner . Walked down the beach we saw this restaurant with some open tables on the sand and decided to stop . Sunset was beautiful and dinner was delicious , but what really stood out was the service we received. Our waiter Omar was what made the experience stand out ! I had better service from Omar than I would get in a high end restaurant back home . From helping pick the wine to desert he was the right kind of attentive. Even when he brought the bill he talked to us like we were old friends. We are only here for a week but will definitely be back for another dinner and some time at the beach club during our stay !

Cenamos en un restaurante junto al mar, con un ambiente relajado y exclusivo. Quiero resaltar la calidad del servicio que recibimos de parte de Omar Illescas. Disfrutamos de una cena excelente, con productos de alta calidad y una presentación y degustación excepcionales. Omar nos recomendó diferentes opciones y quedamos muy satisfechos. Su atención, amabilidad y profesionalismo fueron admirables, destacando un trato cercano y servicial.

Very nice place, excellent food, shame about the service, the waiter did not attend us very well and, apart from that, the tip was charged, it is a shame and a pity that they have abusive employees the tip must be earned with your effort

The personnel is great. The food is really good the tostada with octopus is just one of the many lovely things I tried there. The location is perfect and enjoyable at any age. Go there it you can.
