What Trishen N doesn't like about Palki Durban:
Service is terrible. The two owners are waiters for a Friday night. The cold room is located in between the two dinning areas which is a distance from the kitchen and in plain sight which is very odd. Every time someone from the kitchen staff opens the cold room you get that unbearable smell of prawns or seafood that is not frozen or is rotting. Brought it up to the owners. I lunched at PALKI, celebrating a special friends birthday. What an exceptional experience! Delicious cuisine from North and South Indian menu from their vegetarian Thalis. Our waiter was super friendly but professional and served us as like royalty. Definitely wanting to return to PALKI again!
Average taste. smaller portions compare to joburg standards. more expensive than joburg standards
We were pleasantly surprised with the wide variety of food we ordered Food was fantastic and nothing to complain about. We tried vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals…lovely burst of flavours. There were no delays. Looking forward to going back.
Food is over priced, service was unprofessional. They had 1 person serving the entire restaurant. I won't recommend this restaurant
