Both thay had the burgers though best ones they'd had in... read more First time we have discovered Chalet des Alpes. Our group had burgers (meat and vegetarian) and rosti. Both thay had the burgers though best ones they'd had in a long time. Excellent quality big portions. Excellent service and friendly staff. I saw one review saying not the fastest service, but everything looks freshly made.

We had to wait ages to be taken to our reserved table, for our order to be taken, and food and drink to be served. We could have swallowed all this but we also experienced unfriendly (borderline rude) service. EG After 20 minutes I went in to the bar to try and find our drinks and nearly had my head bitten off. Not acceptable when the restaurant is charging high prices.

Had another delicious lunch there! Big portions and very friendly service. We go back each time we are visiting the Valais! See you in August! I specifically asked for a salad without bacon, and at first I was told that this was not possible. Eventually they agreed, but it honestly felt like it was done on purpose: my salad arrived completely covered in bacon like A LOT). On top of that, there was far too much mustard and very little actual salad. The portion was extremely small and absolutely not worth the price I paid. Realistically, I should have paid much less for such a tiny salad, max 20 chf…. It’s a shame because the place is nice…. But I leave unhappy :
