Description

Hidden in a mall food court, this Gujarati spot serves authentic thalis, crunchy gotas and a much‑praised seven‑flavored pani puri reminiscent of Ahmedabad. Freshly made chaat and robust, nostalgic flavors delight many, but experiences are uneven: service and cleanliness can be inconsistent, prices feel high to some, and disposable plates are used. A few diners reported hygiene problems and illness. Expect bold street‑food in a casual, sometimes chaotic setting—come for the pani puri but exercise caution around service and food safety.

Terrible service. The prices are high compared to the quality of what you receive. They use inexpensive options like paper plates and bowls, and if you request an additional paper plate, they refuse, claiming they don’t have any more—while smiling as if they don’t understand what you’re asking for. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I was surprised to find a restaurant resorting to such cheap tactics.

"The food here is quite good, but the service leaves something to be desired. Just a heads-up, this restaurant is located within the food court, and there are no clear signs guiding you. To find it, simply enter through the center of the building and head up the stairs to the second floor. Once there, you'll find the food court with a variety of dining options."

We ordered two Gujarati thalis, and aside from the chapati, nothing was up to par. The curries tasted stale, and I couldn't even eat a bite of them. The rice served on the plate was clearly old—definitely felt like it was made two days ago. The dessert was equally disappointing. Overall, this was the worst meal I've had in my 12 years living in the US.

My love for dal Bhati brought me here. But not impressed. Probably better to try and make them at home.

Best 7 flavored water pani puri in NJ. I must say I almost eat 2 plates per day when ever I visited NJ with Hot Ragda and lasan chutney. Similar to Ahmedabad style.I love to try and make different food dishes. You can checkout my instagram page. Ajay_Mistry29. Thanks.
