The Tides Inn is nestled off a beautiful creek in a quiet town that has lots to offer. The grounds are well kept, the staff is extra friendly and the pool/beach is our favorite spot. The Cabanas at the pool are free and first come/ first serve (you don't see that too often! There is free coffee in the View Room every morning and turn down service every night. What Rebecca Hawkins doesn't like about The Tides Inn:
Overall we enjoyed our stay the location and view are fantastic. However, service was subpar and often slow. Some wait staff were straight up rude. Additionally, some items are way overpriced $14 for room service drip coffee when you get unlimited coffee at the restaurant for $4??? Finally, our bill at check out was incorrect as someone thought they’d get away with charging $100 worth of drinks to our room and my hus... View all feedback.
I highly recommend the Tides Inn! Every staff we came in contact with was so friendly, our Vista Suite was very spacious with a beautiful water view, and we loved all the activities that are included with your stay. This definitely felt like a luxury resort between the complimentary snacks, water by the beach, and never having an issue getting a lounge chair and umbrella. We can’t wait to plan our next visit to the Tides Inn!
Overall we enjoyed our stay the location and view are fantastic. However, service was subpar and often slow. Some wait staff were straight up rude. Additionally, some items are way overpriced $14 for room service drip coffee when you get unlimited coffee at the restaurant for $4??? Finally, our bill at check out was incorrect as someone thought they’d get away with charging $100 worth of drinks to our room and my husband had to argue with the front desk about this charge. For the price paid, these issues give me pause about staying here again.
Perfect getaway from the DMV area. Our family (2 adults, 1 teen, 1 dog) enjoyed everything about this place. We found the newly renovated “ashburn” room to be lovely great views of the water. Plus the spa was excellent, kayaks and SUPs were fun, and the pool was busy but not over crowded. We enjoyed the restaurants on site but also took advantage of the cute bikes and complimentary car rides to get into the nearby little town. Highly recommend!
I had followed the resort on Instagram and booked a long weekend for a special anniversary. The kind staff, beautiful setting, and really fun activities exceeded our expectations. Don 't miss out on the Chesapeake Gold oyster farm experience! An ecologist with a wealth of knowledge and perspective is your guide. So worth it. My husband loved the layer back atmosphere and I enjoyed paddle board yoga. We 're hoping to come back with our whole family.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Tides Inn. We did a wine tasting and an Italian cooking class, and both were excellent. All of the staff are simply superb. The grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed just the time for R&R. We do not generally 'return ' to places that we 've visited (we love to see new places), but the Tides Inn is an exception for us we will be returning here.
