Merroir is a hidden gem located right on the water, offering breathtaking views and a calm escape from the chaos of the world. While some menu items may be on the pricey side, the fresh seafood offerings such as shrimp, oysters, and tuna tacos are delicious. With outdoor dining spacing tables for social distancing, this restaurant is perfect for a relaxing evening by the river. The staff is friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. Despite a few minor hiccups, such as missing wine selections and timing issues, Merroir remains a favorite spot for its magical location, delicious food, and exceptional service.

Come for the food but stay for the view!! Oysters of course are a must! My only suggestion would be to have local wines. It is something I wish they would do more of, lots of decent VA wineries

This place is in the middle of nowhere and it?s completely worth the drive. I could?ve spent the whole afternoon just looking at the beautiful view and relaxing. The food is mostly small plates and you can order a variety of things and get a sampling ofdifferent seafood. It is very seafood focused and the oysters are incredibly fresh. The one dish that disappointed a little bitwas the red pepper crab soup the red pepper overpowered everything and you didn?t really get the taste of the crab!

Here several times over a weekend. The views are what you'd hope for. The staff, is excellent, conscientious, quick and caring. As for the food, on average, it's excellent. Their oysters are standard, great. The other options are from creative toexpected. If you're in the area, this is an absolute stop.
