Description
**Discovering Thai E San: A Mixed Experience in Irving**
Thai E San in Irving offers a unique blend of experiences, with diners praising its vibrant atmosphere and friendly service, while others express disappointment with food quality and wait times. Signature dishes like drunken noodles and crispy pad Thai receive high marks for flavor and portion size, yet inconsistencies are noted, particularly with overcooked meats and undercooked vegetables. Service can also be hit or miss, with some guests facing long waits and inattentive staff. Overall, while many recommend the restaurant for its welcoming environment and authentic Thai offerings, others advise caution due to varying quality.

**Food:** The meal started with a complimentary cup of Miso soup, which was a lovely touch. For the appetizer, I ordered the combination platter featuring dumplings, pot stickers, crab rangoons, and spring rolls—an excellent choice! The crab rangoons, in particular, were outstanding. Each dish was impeccably prepared, showcasing authentic flavors that tickled my taste buds. If you enjoy a bit of heat, I highly recommend the Thai Fried Rice with a spice level of 4. **Service:** The service was exceptional, marked by warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere! It was quick, efficient, and felt personalized. Family-owned restaurants like Thai E San truly excel at providing a customized dining experience. **Ambiance:** The tables are comfortably spaced, creating a simple and inviting environment. Plus, there's always parking available. **Pricing:** The prices are quite reasonable. **Will I return?** Definitely! This restaurant is firmly on my list of places to revisit.
We stumbled upon an incredible Thai restaurant! The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the restaurant itself is a nice size with plenty of seating. The food was simply delightful, prepared with fresh ingredients and full of flavor. The portion sizes were quite generous. Thai E San has quickly become our go-to spot for Thai food in Irving! I highly recommend trying the Tom Kha Soup with Chicken (3 out of 10 on the spiciness scale), the Thai Peanut with Chicken (3 out of 10), and the Papaya Salad (3 out of 10).
This restaurant is an excellent option, boasting exceptionally friendly service and delicious food. I had the pad see ew with beef at a spiciness level of 3 out of 5, and it struck the perfect balance of spice and savory flavors for my palate. I highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for delicious Thai cuisine.
We love their crispy Pad Thai—it's delicious and perfectly crunchy! The food is fantastic, the restaurant is clean, and the customer service is outstanding. Definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in town!
I had been wanting to try Thai E San for a while and finally got the chance yesterday—so glad we did! Everything was fantastic. They started us off with a complimentary small salad dressed in a tasty peanut sauce. The spring rolls came fresh from the fryer, perfectly hot, crispy, and delicious with their plum sauce. The crab fried rice was made with real lump crab meat—I confirmed this since I don’t like imitation crab—and it was exactly what I wanted: fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. My son ordered the chicken Pad Thai, which was just as delicious, served with lime wedges that really enhanced the dish. I asked for extra lime wedges for my crab fried rice, which elevated the flavors even more. We chose a spice level of 3 (on a 1–5 scale) for both dishes; it was a bit spicy for us but still enjoyable. Next time, we’ll go for a level 2—and there will definitely be a next time! The service and atmosphere at Thai E San were excellent—friendly staff, clean, and inviting. They also offer a refreshing and delicious Thai coffee.
