The restaurant offers a separate vegan menu, but I had to ask for clarification on each item. I requested my meal to be not spicy, but it turned out to be a strong 9 in terms of spiciness. If you enjoy authentic Indian cuisine, this is the place to go. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Taj Chaat House:
The restaurant is not the same as it used to be. The food quality is decent, more like a fast food place so it's hard to rate the service, but the staff is friendly. The restaurant has been renovated with new booths, but there is no air conditioning so it can get hot. My main concern is the taste of the food, which does not seem to be as good as it used to be. All options on the menu are vegetarian. View all feedback.

I had to return to try more dishes! This time, I ordered aloo chole, dal makhani, and pani puri again (my favorite). The dal makhani was good, but I have had better versions elsewhere. It was a bit bland and lackluster. The pani puri, however, was delicious as always. The portion size was smaller this time, but the price justified it. The aloo chole was the standout dish, with a generous portion size for just $4.50. It was very filling. I have added some new photos and the restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere. I asked for the vegan menu at the counter. There were many options to choose from, but unfortunately, there were no descriptions which made it difficult to decide. I circled each name to get an idea of what each dish was. We enjoyed the various curries, which were quite spicy, and the dosa, which was like a crepe. The vegan fried rice came with Chinese cauliflower.
Eating was good and the personal was very helpful in identifying which items were vegan. they have a nice condiment bar with chutneys, pickles, chiles, etc. it is more of a fast eating place and everything is served on plastic and styrofoam. eating was good, but if I went back, it would be for the taking.
Traveling for work and needed a vegan-friendly meal. This was highly rated on Google and Happy Cow. The restaurant staff were extremely helpful and described some of the vegan options on their vegan menu (took the advice of other reviewers and asked for the vegan menu). I took their recommendation of Aloo Pathara and Gobi Manchurian. Warning: They do not ask how spicy you want your food. Mine started out in the hot side, but after a few tears and some healthy sweating, I got through it. And it was very good. Not like any other Indian restaurant I have been to. That’s not a bad thing. I would definitely try it again.
