Visiting Cool River Cafe was a mixed experience for diners. Incredible food and excellent service. Enjoy an excellent dinner of hickory smoked Prime Rib and fillet with sides and Caesar salad. And a chocolate cake to die. Our service was impeccable. One of my favorites over and over again.
Our server was great, I think his name was Antonio.
Unfortunately the service we received was not in line with the price we paid. Also, 30 minutes after we placed our order they came out to tell us my husband's choice was not available and they substituted what was supposed to be something similar and it was not at all. We were still charged full price for the substitute and it was basically penne with vegetables. Truly disappointing, that was our third visit but we will not return.
We were home from vacation. At Dallas/Fort Worth airport we had a robbery. We ate at Cool River Cafe. I had a salad. I discovered a DEAD BUG in my salad. When I told the waitress about it, she asked me if she could wrap it up for me!!!
The food quality was excellent. We ordered a variety of meals steak, shrimp, ribs and tuna. Everyone was happy with his meal. The service was somewhat slow, but not inadequate. I didn't want to wait when we had a reservation and had to wait about 15 minutes. A bit expensive for lunch, but it was a pleasant culinary experience.
