Chick-fil-A - Irving
Chick-fil-A
Description
Chick-fil-A in Irving delivers consistently fresh, flavorful food with attentive and friendly service, earning praise as one of the best fast-food experiences locally. The staff’s willingness to address order issues and maintain good customer care stands out. However, some customers report long wait times, especially in the drive-thru, and occasional order inaccuracies that detract from an otherwise solid visit. Parking and location convenience near Irving Mall add to its appeal. While generally positive, improvements in speed and order accuracy could elevate this location further, ensuring it matches the high standards customers expect from the Chick-fil-A brand.

What can I say? It’s a chain restaurant, and it operates like most chain restaurants do. Some are better than others, and while you may not experience five-star service, it can occasionally impress. Unfortunately, my visit here was fairly average. The only notable aspect was the long wait time. I attribute this to pandemic-related staffing shortages. It would be great if they could improve employee compensation and consider reintroducing curbside delivery as well.
I arrived at DFW airport a bit late (after 9 PM) and was feeling hungry without any idea of what to eat. I noticed the Chick-fil-A line around 9:45 PM and decided to stop by. Despite them closing at 10 PM and the line stretching out into the street, we were greeted with fantastic service. We had plenty of time to look over the menu, and by the time they closed, we drove off with some delicious food!
This is truly the best fast food restaurant in Irving. The food is consistently fresh and hot, and the service is outstanding. The Sonic on Walnut Hill could take notes from this location on how to effectively run a fast food restaurant.
Be sure to keep your receipt if you want a refill on the $2 coffee, or you won't get one here. In my opinion, Chick-fil-A sets the bar for fast food service, but this place could learn a lot about customer treatment. I frequent Chick-fil-A nearly every day across the Metroplex, and I was disappointed to be charged extra for a $2 coffee. It's unfortunate, and I won't be returning to this location.
My mother tried to explain the situation, but the worker snapped at her, asking why I couldn't be kinder. This was completely uncalled for, as I’ve never had a bad experience here before. Usually, the staff is polite, and I’ve always been greeted with "my pleasure"—except for this particular employee. I didn’t catch her name but think it might be Monica. She was wearing glasses, had dark hair, and a light complexion. It’s unacceptable for her to treat customers this way or to accuse them of being disrespectful to others. What did she expect us to do? There was clearly a line in front of us, and we were all just trying to pay and enjoy our meal. Overall, it was a terrible experience.
