This is an order/pay upfront, get a number, and choose a table type joint and the food is amazing!! Everything was cooked as we ordered! The salsa for the chilaquiles was smokey and delicious! My mom has strict dietary restrictions and this menu was able to accommodate that easily!!! We will definitely be coming back!! View all feedback.
What Melissa Lopez doesn't like about Poached Neighborhood Kitchen:
I don't get it, this place serves only breakfast and it usually has a long line. It is priced in the mid teen, and overall, food is just... meh. I order a house benedicts and the English Muffin was tough! However, the Chicken Waffle is very good. The chicken is moist on the inside while it is crispy on the outside. So, come here and wait in line for the Chicken Waffle, the rest you can get it at Denny's. View all feedback.
Super yummy brunch spot! Came on a Wednesday afternoon and there were a good amount of people but we didn't have to wait to order or for a table. We got the churro waffle and house benedict and both were pretty good. The churro waffle is perfect for those who like a sweet breakfast and the house benedict was perfectly cooked with a delicious hollandaise sauce.
Found this place through Yelp and I loved it! There was a wait Sat. morning but the line moved by quickly. The staff were great I appreciate that they were not understaffed. I got the baked apple cakes and chilaquiles rojos. Both were so good. Baked apple cakes: These were exquisite! It comes with 3 and they were beautifully presented. It was also not too sweet which I really liked. They were perfect. Chilaquiles rojos: The staff recommended this dish and these were flavorful, just right, not spicy very mild, but delicious! There's plenty of parking in front. When you get inside it's the type of restaurant where you pay first to receive a number and you find a seat so there isn't one wait staff on your table.
If you're a basic brunch girlie like me, this is def the place for some good Eggs Benedict. Well poached egg with a perfect runny yolk, hollandaise trending a bit on the lighter side, topped off with a soft english muffin with still a bit of a toasty top. The short rib version had a supple amount of meat with well-spiced but low-heat flavor, and they even give you some tasty homemade ketchup on the side for the hash browns. Great for the tummy and great for the gram!
A well balanced and nutritional breakfast options. Absolutely loved the hospitality and never felt forgotten
This is one of Irvine's top breakfast locations!! The restaurant is situated in a shopping center. Parking is adequate, if not exceptional. When we arrived, there was already a large line out the door, but we decided to tough it out because we didn't have any plans for the rest of the day. We waited outside before entering and ordering our food at the counter. Then we picked a table and waited for our delicious food to arrive. The food arrived quickly and the service was outstanding. But there's the cuisine, which is incredible. Breakfast burritos, fries, and churro waffles are all delicious options. Dogs are also welcome. I will undoubtedly return!
