Contribute FeedbackBack again from a food review Hiatus to check this place. I had Kimera with my friends two years ago, but I didn't really get to know what they had since the majority of our group was 21 and I was just a little kid that was together. I feel that the management of this joint can really turn into a nightclub for some extra revenue. Anyway, I'm degressing. The first thing to notice is that Kimera is towed away in a small business park, and parking requires validation (very important!). When I first rolled up at the parking fee of $14 for the parking structure, I went with my girl friend and got confidently validated my ticket like a professional. Not to mention that I made look so damn suave. I'll go back. I had made reservations with 8 but they left me waiting until 8:10 before they finally took us. That was my first flag over the service that was just coming. (If you are a constant reader of my reviews, you will likely notice that I am strongly in service. As Mr. Pink said in the classic “Reservoir Dogs” why tip when the damn waiters are doing their job? I rarely go over 12% if my water is never filled, my food is slow, takes forever to order, etc. 12% is very generous for me when I like the service is crappy. Finally we sit and take us about 5 minutes to decide about the swordfish, chicken sausage pasta and a bacon cheeseburger. The waiter didn't come for at least 10 minutes. WTF! Come on, it wasn't even so crowded. He finally takes our order and we wait 15-20 minutes until our food comes while we come to the MJ, Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe paintings on the wall. I must admit that the ambience and layout was very good, which prevents me from giving this place a bad rating. Food: Swordfish in Risotto: Not bad, fish was good, Risotto was good.... cost about 24.95 I think. Fish was grilled on a soft delicate texture and with an intruiging tasting sauce (No, I don't know what it is. but I will ask next time. Chicken sauce: Average proportion was decent. many red paprika. Dunno what else to say because I didn't eat much of it when I was full of my Bacon Cheezburger. $14 something. Bacon Cheeseburger: I ordered this because the old man had it next to me. It was HUGE!!! also came with a minor order of Pommes. I barely made it. Getting the Chicken Pasta was a mistake because I and my girl friend did not finish all three plates. The price was around $12.95. When the bill finally came, the fat **** of a server forced us a 18% tip!! **** never filled my water again and had the nerve to charge us 18%. I would like to mention that there is also a bar next to the dining area. I'm not sure about the good hourly prices there as I never ordered anything from there. However, if you decide to come to Kimera, come to MONDAY NIGHTS for their 50% off the menu. Do not forget to mention it during the booking. Editing ADDIs came here with a small group of 21 friends on a Friday night. I have a seat outside of lungs that was not expected. Happy Hour $5 drinks and appetizers bar page. Doesn't know if it was only today, but they seem to put their drinks on the strong side. Also don't know if it was only this day, but they had an in-house DJ who played some really nice remixed contemporary music. Service was good and prompt, so I will add an additional star now.
