Jj Bakery Cafe - Irvine

Tons of favor and cake to choose from. I like the bakery they have, bread is good but cake is ok. I ordered Taro cake from here. they have real taro in the cake which is great but it frozen. I try to cut it during our friend birthday and so was so hard i can even cut it with regular knife. favor was ok. I would come back for bread though it was good

We got a cake here for my birthday and it was genuinely terrible. We really aren't picky people but this cake had an awful texture and zero sweet taste. The cake felt rubbery when we tried to chew it. Not a single person in our family of 5 took more than one bite. We are a small business owning family and strongly believe in going to a business to have them right a wrong instead of leaving bad reviews, but when my father took the cake back (yes the full cake including the unfinished cut pieces) he was met with a very rude and argumentative staff and manager. They didn't refund, offer store credit, or even send him home with a new cake. So not only do they have awful cakes, they have awful service.

Bought a taro cake which was on sale as well. Lucky me, it was the only one left. Beautifully decorated and very moist and delicious. Would order ahead next time to make sure they have it for me

Pork floss bun was my childhood favourite. The ones at this bakery were surprisingly delicious ! The bread wasn't too dry at all!

One would deal with salaried employees who are not well managed by owner. Profit is not her core concern, and hence customer 's needs are not neither. And they appear to be under staffed. It was supposed to be open till 9pm but we were unable to find anyone when we arrived by 8:40pm. We went back the next morning to order some birthday cakes, but was told the chef would not have time to write happy birthday on the cakes if we need them by noon time next day because the chef will be off... Oh mine, they don 't have enough staff to cover 7 days a week per their published schedule...
