**Dining at Brooks Corner: A Tale of Disappointment and Delight**

While some praise the quality of the food, highlighting the chef's homemade bread and delicious breakfasts, others describe the atmosphere as unwelcoming, citing slow service and a rude owner. Reports of dirty dining areas and questionable staff treatment further complicate the restaurant's reputation. Thought we would give Brooks Corner another try. Owner/waitress was still rude as last time, went in for breakfast , food was lousy, and partial order was wrong. unable to get my drink refilled the entire 45 minutes we were there. She is clueless when it come to running a business. Don't waste your time here or money!
The food was excellent; crispy hash ‘d peppers and onions in the hash browns. The waitresses kept the coffee full, checked on us several times and sent us off with a smile.
Every time I am near Irons we eat here and for a northern Michigan restaurant, in a small town, the food is consistently good. It is not just processed food. The Chef makes his own bread and creates delicious meals. Their breakfast is fantastic too.
I wish I could give this place zero stars. The woman who works there, who I assume is the wife that everyone else has had bad experiences with, truly lived up to her reputation. My wife and I left before she could even serve us our drinks. She seemed like she didn't want us there at all, so we decided to go somewhere else down the road. I'll give it another shot when the name changes.
