Absolutely lovely place to have a mealThe grounds are child friendly and when there is a function with children present they get fed first and in line with children's likes I.e fish fingers instead of prawn cocktail. Highly recommend View all feedback.
What Robin Bird doesn't like about Willowmead:
Family day out with a toddler, excited to see the alpacas. Unfortunately we had a level of welcome similar to a fawlty towers episode. The lady running the place was unwelcoming, rude and at one point racist! The craft shop was very over-priced and the alpaca experience was a 5 minute walk around an overgrown paddock. It's quite clear that visitors are an inconvenience but at least it didn't cost us anything. View all feedback.
This is a wonderful place to enjoy a meal! The grounds are very child-friendly, and when there are events with kids, they are served first with options that cater to their tastes, like fish fingers instead of prawn cocktails. I highly recommend it!
We had a family day out with our toddler, looking forward to seeing the alpacas. Unfortunately, the welcome we received was reminiscent of a scene from Fawlty Towers. The woman in charge was uninviting, rude, and at one point, made a racist remark. The gift shop had extremely high prices, and the alpaca experience consisted of just a five-minute walk around an overgrown field. It felt like visitors were seen as a bother, but at least it didn't cost us anything.
I've never been there before.
