I recently rediscovered this lovely pub in a great central location in the city. It is a relaxed and friendly place to eat. We tried their delicious veggie burger and chips, and also went back for breakfast. The pub serves good quality and affordable food, and the bar staff were helpful. They even went out of their way to confirm that their eggs are free-range. View all feedback.
What Steven F doesn't like about The Cock Pye:
The food was not very good I had the bbq chicken and the chips were over done the onion rings were just batter and over done and a very little portion the chicken was in a terrible bbq and onion sauce it was more like a bbq and onion relish rather than a sauce and three little tomatoes on the side that felt like they had nothing to do with the main course itself very underwhelmed with the food. Great place to get a pint and eat. that was delicious. the small fish-N-chips are enormous, so cautious and hungry!
Good fun pub for night outside. loud music, dancing and drinking! city center, close to other pubs n clubs and taxis.

Nice enough pub for a good drink. There’s a lot of choice available at decent enough prices and the staff were friendly and quick at serving. There’s a lot of large screens throughout making it an ideal spot to catch up on the sport plus there’s lots of sitting and standing options as you do. I’d certainly return if I was nearby!
This is a great bar. The staff are awesome. They were super attentive and also had great customer service skills. the atmosphere is welcoming and the food is pretty decent. All in all well worth a visit
