Guests praise the Beagle Pub's welcoming staff and desserts, but note occasional long waits and variable mains; a convivial spot with mixed kitchen consistency.

Sorry to say this is the 3rd time we, have tried this venue, and to be completely honest is was terrible. The staff at the bar ignore you whilst you are standing there waiting. The food is plain tasteless and quite frankly awful. We tried...

This is the 3rd time we have been to The Beagle in the last 2 months, and past visits have been so good we took our daughter tonight who was visiting. The main course was excellent however after that service was very slow. We waited ages for our plates to be cleared and asked for desert menus but then had to ask again as these didn't turn up. I had The Honey Pot previously which was excellent (one of the best desserts I've had) so we all ordered the same, the waitress mentioned the mousse hadn't quite set but we said fine but when it came the presentation was poor and a real disappointment. Did not seem to be enough staff, and we heard customers complaining they had been waiting a long time for tables. A real shame, we will come again but having been seated for 2 hours for 2 courses it did dampen the whole experience

Exceptional service, great food, welcoming atmosphere and a really good reward system. I go regularly and have always had 5 star service. Staff are all very polite and friendly even when they are really busy. Kirsty (amongst others) is excellent
