I had a full breakfast with hot tea at this great cafe. Everything was cooked well and the place was very clean. The toilets were clean and the service was quick and efficient.
My husband and I were hungover, so we decided to get a proper breakfast at a nice little cafe. We dressed up and walked to Al's cafe, even though I was a bit doubtful at first. I ordered a breakfast with scrambled eggs instead of a runny yolk, and it turned out to be not only enjoyable due to my head being a bit foggy from the previous night, but it was also delicious. They even made crispy bacon just how I like it. Overall, it was a great meal and definitely worth trying.
Meet up here once a month with family, as we get into Ipswich from Reading.... Cannot praise the food and owner/chef any higher, because there's no comparison. Family visit there at other times too, because the food cannot be rivalled. Visit and you'll see for yourself. Prices so reasonable, and honest.
As again I was on my travels with my parents an we stopped in here for lunch, we try and stick to things we know we enjoy eating, so my dad has a full english, mum has the jacket potato with chilli (massive potatoes BTW and I have something off the Specials board either chicken curry with rice an chips or the chilli with rice an chips. We are never disappointed with the quality of the food or the portion size, great value for the money. Staff are always friendly and helpful too :

Fantastic food and really friendly staff. I come here almost every Sunday and have done for the last few years and have never been disappointed not even once. There is a nice range of foods to choose from as well as a small selection of desserts etc.
