We loved the curated selection at the restaurant during our first visit, and now that we have a child, we go to Sidekick as a family. We bring along board books for our baby to enjoy in the cute little bee seats while one of us shops for gifts, drinks coffee, or enjoys a snack. Today I had a very bad experience, and they will lose customers because of it. My husband and I came to get a cup of coffee, and since I 'm on a diet, I brought a toast sandwich and banana for myself. I had a lovely affogato at this charming café. They offer a great selection of drinks, treats, and books for all ages.
Very calm study space, free parking, delicious pastries, and great baristas!
I've had multiple experiences at this restaurant, and unfortunately, they've never managed to get my order right. On all three occasions, they "accidentally" forgot items that I ordered to go, or mixed up my request for iced instead of hot. As a result, I ended up paying for a large item (or an entirely unwanted drink) but leaving with a small version of what I actually ordered.
I was in town for Ragbrai and looking for a good cold brew. The info tent pointed me to Sidekick, and I think they made an excellent suggestion. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the coffee was outstanding. Plus, I enjoyed a delicious blueberry muffin as well!
Amazing cafe and book store combinedThis makes a unique atmosphere. I absolutely love it. Excellent coffe and matcha. Also great gluten free and vegan pastry. Highly recommend!
