Givanni's Iowa City

Overall, I was disappointed. The food was good, but not exceptional. After spending four years in Iowa City while my daughter was in college, we tried nearly every restaurant in the area. We had saved this one for last. In any case, it was an experience. The Chop House and Pullman are definitely far superior options.

Very good steak. dinners are suppe or salate. the French thorn soup was excellent. steaks were very rare. five star service. great cocktails.

My man and I have decided to try joseph’s for our jubilee. very happy that we made it! our waiter was incredibly friendly, patient and helpful with suggestions. we felt that our halibut and steak dishes were absolutely delicious! I tried yucca for the first time. we will definitely come back!

We love going to joseph’s for a date night because we always know that eating and the atmosphere is perfect!

A great fine dining restaurant in Iowa city ! I am not a huge fan of steak or meat in general, but their menu is very accommodating! I ordered the mushroom tortellini and every bite was like heaven. Even if you don't like some of their dishes that they are known for, give this place a try because their other menu options will still give you a wonderful experience. Staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable if you have any questions.
