The food here was TOP NOTCH!!! 4 Vegan/ vegetarian options on the main menu and a menu of healthy raw vegan desserts. This place has a warm homely feel and the service was great. Make sure you ring in beforehand to let them know you are vegan.

Two wonderful people ran this charming caffe. we were mixed over the aromes. our family of 4 ordered 2 of the Butternuss-Quash-Casserole (usually a one-pot over rice) and the laib. I had the faith and it quickly disappeared. it was so good. it was very filled. I wish I had eaten it more slowly and sworn it! I have to go back. the rest of the family enjoyed the uprun, but it was not unforgettable.

Our family of six vegans ate the most deliciously tasty vegan meals here. We shared the vegan starter of roasted mushrooms which was very yum! Five of us had the cabbage and chestnut roast with potatoes and vegetables and one had the mixed bean goulash with rice, it was all so so good! This place has a warm homely feel and is a highlight to dine at, we felt very welcome even though it's a traditional Scottish restaurant that serves meat and animal products. They are very aware of vegan dietary requirements and have gone above and beyond to provide for vegans and vegetarians. They even offered us some raw vegan desserts but its recommended to give them some notice if possible, although there are vegan options already on the menu but no vegan dessert options. So the vegan desserts may have been on offer because we gave a little notice. Excellent, friendly service as well. Wish we discovered this place sooner, as we would have eaten here every night!

We attended this veg-friendly restaurant once whilst on holidays and agree with other reviewers about the owner managers being very ready and willing to cater for vegetarians and even vegans. Its always a good sign when the word vegan' appears on a menu! We likened our dishes to hearty home cooked meals. The mixed bean goulash dish was particularly tasty. We attended the restaurant at 6pm on a week night without a booking and struggled to get a table given the limited seating capacity and number of bookings.

Very delicious food! very friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. it was great to experience a restaurant that knows the difference between vegetarian and vegan cuisine. makes it much easier.
